By default, the location of the user data area is dependent on your desktop environment, that is to say:
- Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Perforce\QAC-<version>
- Linux: $HOME/.config/Perforce/QAC-<version>
Use this option to select an alternative location for your user data, for example a shared directory.
The target directory must exist and you must have Write permissions for it.
You should immediately restart the Perforce QAC Eclipse whenever this option is used.
Initially, no files are copied from the previous user data location. When the plugin is restarted, the default files from the installation directory are copied automatically. No user-created files from the previous location are copied, and these must be copied manually if required.
